Anxious about returning to work? Agency work could be the first step!

Let’s face it, the last two years have not been normal - in fact - they’ve been anything but. Many people have gotten used to working from home, or perhaps not working at all, so it’s not at all surprising that many people feel anxious about the prospect of returning to a working environment . Perhaps it’s the fear of getting ill, the fear of passing anything on to our loved ones, or maybe even the fear that we’ve forgotten how to socialise! Don’t worry, we get it, but we’re also here to help, and we would like to help you consider whether agency work might be a manageable way for you to get back into work.

A gradual return to work

Doing things little and often is a great way to get ourselves back to some kind of normality, and we would love to help you achieve this in your working life. Much of our work is day-to-day, meaning that you can tell us which days you would like to work and which you wouldn’t, and then when work comes in on the days that you are free, you’re welcome to accept or decline it. This kind of work is a more gentle, gradual return to work, as opposed to starting a full-time job straight away (unless you feel that working 5 days a week is what’s best for you, in which case, we have full-time positions available!). Another benefit of working with us is that you’re not tied to a contract, so if it any point you decide you no longer wish to work with us, then you are free to stop immediately.

Making a difference to children’s lives

Everyone spent lockdown in different circumstances, and found different ways to cope. For some people, this meant using their free time to develop a new skill. For others, it meant simply trying to get through the day. Either way, now that things are slowly getting back to normal, if you’re going to head back out into the world of work, perhaps it’s worthwhile trying to do something you’re passionate about. For example, if you want to make a difference to children’s lives, come and join our team! Schools are busier than ever, and the last thing any of us want is for children to miss out on parts of their education, so why not give it a go and make a change!

Talk to us

If you’d like to explore the possibility of easing yourself back into work without committing to it straight away, then we are more than happy to discuss the logistics and how you’re feeling, to help you decide whether now is the right time for you to give it a go. We’re a really friendly team that understand that you might be feeling anxious, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re considering the idea of working in a local school but aren’t 100% sure yet - we love a chat!

We know that everyone is in a completely different situation when it comes to their options and circumstances around getting back to work, but if we’re able to help, then we’d absolutely love to.
