Primary School Teaching Assistant

Staffroom Education are seeking talented, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to work within Primary school settings in Cardiff to start in September 2020. All of our roles are temporary and range from day-to-day assignments to ongoing, long-term placements.

Our Schools require Teaching Assistants across all age groups, who are able to provide one-to-one support as well as being involved with small groups. These positions require you to have gained experience in a similar environment; whether that be within Education, Social Care, Youth Leadership, Sports Coaching – or something similar – you will have all the necessary skills required.

What you can expect in the role of a Teaching Assistant:
• To work under the guidance of the teacher;
• Assisting with the preparation of the classroom before each lesson, as well as tidying/collecting workbooks etc at the end;
• Supporting reading groups;
• Working on a one-to-one basis;
• Attendance of school trips;
• Pastoral care;
• Accompanying pupils whilst out of class;
• Carry out general administrative duties, as directed;
• Help and organise wall displays.
