Finance Administrator

Staffroom Education are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator to work in a busy Primary School based in Cardiff. This is a temporary full-time position to start immediately and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

Reporting to the Office Manager, the role will involve the handling of invoices, dealing with petty cash and school dinner money, general administrative duties and, as with any school-based role, interaction with staff, parents and pupils. Working hours will be 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday and during term time only.

Experience of the SIMS application is desirable but not essential. You must, however, have previous experience within a similar role.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• The ability to manage and process all correspondence, drafting letters, reports, memos, referencing and presentations using MS Office

• The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils

• Awareness of and compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

• The ability to answer and deal with parental enquiries day to day

• Responsibility for ensuring a high standard of quality and accuracy in all documents produced

• The ability to provide high quality administrative and secretarial skills
